Is your page ready to be cited by AI?

Paste a URL. We fetch the page and run 11 deterministic checks for how ready it is to be quoted and cited by AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. You get a 0-100 score and exactly what to fix. No AI calls, no API keys, no sign-up.

02 / Why it matters

Search moved from a list of links to a single answer.

The old way

Ten blue links. You optimized to rank, the user clicked through, and you owned the page they landed on.

The new way

The engine reads a handful of pages, writes one answer, and cites a few sources. If your page is not structured to be quoted, you are not in the answer at all.

700%

Growth in AI referral traffic across 2025, and those visitors tend to convert several times better than organic search.

3.2x

More likely to appear in Google AI Overviews when a page carries FAQ schema, one of the 11 signals this tool checks.

Search Engine Land

This tool checks the on-page half of that equation: whether an AI engine can find a clean answer on your page, verify it, and attribute it to you.

04 / What it checks

05 / Reading your score

What the number means.

80 - 100
Strong

The page is structured to be quoted. AI engines can find a clean answer, verify it, and attribute it to you.

55 - 79
Partial

Some signals are in place, but gaps (missing schema, no citations, a stale date) make the page easy to skip over.

0 - 54
Weak

Likely invisible to AI. The page reads as unstructured, unverified, or undated, so engines have little reason to cite it.

06 / FAQ

Questions, answered.

What does AI visibility actually mean?+

It is how likely an AI answer engine (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews) is to quote your page and cite it as a source when someone asks a question in your space. As people shift from clicking blue links to reading AI answers, being the page the AI quotes is the new front page.

My site already ranks well on Google. Why do I need this?+

Because ranking no longer guarantees you are in the AI answer. Only about 38% of AI citations now come from Google's top-10 results, down from roughly 76% a year earlier. You can rank #1 and still be invisible in ChatGPT or AI Overviews if the page is not structured to be quoted, which is exactly what this checks.

Does this tool use AI to score my page?+

No. Every check is deterministic and verifiable: we read the page's HTML, schema, headings, links and dates. No LLM, no API keys, no black box. The same URL always gets the same score, and we can tell you exactly why.

What is a good score, and which check matters most?+

80-100 is Strong, 55-79 is Partial, below 55 is Weak. FAQPage schema and a direct, answer-first opener punch above their weight, because AI engines lift verbatim Q&A and short declarative answers. Outbound citations matter too: a cited claim reads as verified, an uncited one reads as opinion.

Is a high score enough to get cited by AI?+

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. This measures on-page readiness, which is necessary but not sufficient. The biggest driver of whether AI cites you is what other sites say about you: directory listings, roundups, comparison posts. That off-site work is what Beamcite does for you.

How is this different from an SEO audit?+

SEO audits optimize for ranking a link on a results page. This optimizes for being quoted inside an answer. The signals overlap but are not the same: AI engines reward extractable Q&A, structured data, cited claims and answer-first writing far more heavily than classic SEO does.

Do I need to sign up?+

No. Paste a URL and get your score. There is no account, no credit card and no email wall.
