Fill the table and press Generate table & schema to get HTML

01 / How it works

Step 1

Name the products

Add your product and up to three competitors as column headers. Two to four products, edited inline.

Step 2

Fill the feature rows

One row per feature that matters to buyers. Type 'yes' or 'no' for a checkmark-style cell, or free text for anything else.

Step 3

Copy the HTML and schema

Paste the semantic HTML table straight into your page body, and the ItemList JSON-LD alongside it. No classes, no inline styles.

02 / FAQ

Questions, answered.

Why do AI answer engines like comparison tables?+

A table is structured and self-contained: rows and columns with named headers, no surrounding prose to parse. That makes it easy for an AI engine to lift a whole row or the full table as the answer to a 'X vs Y' question, which is exactly the kind of query these tables tend to answer.

Why does the HTML have to be semantic, not divs styled to look like a table?+

AI engines and screen readers both rely on real table markup: <table>, <caption>, <th scope="col"> for column headers, <th scope="row"> for the feature column. A grid of styled <div> elements looks like a table visually but carries none of that structure, so it is much harder for an engine to parse cleanly and cite.

Should the table be fair to competitors, or should I stack it in my favor?+

Be honest. A table that only ever favors your product reads as marketing and AI engines, like people, are more likely to distrust and skip it. A table with a few genuine wins for competitors reads as credible, and credible tables are the ones that get cited and quoted.

What does the ItemList JSON-LD actually add?+

It names the compared products as a structured list in the page's schema markup, giving AI engines and search crawlers an explicit signal for what entities the page is comparing. It supplements the HTML table; it does not replace it.

Where on the page should the table go?+

Near the top of a dedicated comparison section, after a short paragraph naming what is being compared and why. AI engines tend to weight content near clear headings and early in a section, so burying the table at the bottom of a long page makes it less likely to get picked up.

Does anything I type leave my browser?+

No. The table, the preview and both exports are all built locally in your browser with plain JavaScript. Nothing you type is sent to our server or stored anywhere.

A good table is one page. Being cited is the ongoing work.

This tool gets one comparison page structured right. Beamcite does the ongoing work of getting you cited across the questions buyers actually ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, with a human running it.
