What is FAQ schema?+
FAQPage schema is a JSON-LD block that marks up your questions and answers in a machine-readable way. It tells search and AI answer engines exactly which question each answer belongs to, so they can lift the pair directly into an answer.
Why does FAQ schema matter for AI visibility?+
AI answer engines assemble answers from extractable Q&A. A page with FAQPage schema hands them verified question-answer pairs, which makes your page one of the easiest sources to quote and cite. It is one of the highest-leverage schema types for AI visibility.
How many questions should I mark up?+
Mark up the questions that actually appear on the page, usually 4 to 10. The questions should match how buyers really phrase them, and each answer should stand alone in two or three sentences, leading with the answer.
Where do I paste the generated code?+
Anywhere inside the page's HTML, usually the head. The questions and answers in the schema must also be visible on the page itself; schema that contradicts the visible page can be ignored or penalized.
