Would an AI actually quote this?

It measures whether a passage is written the way AI answer engines like to quote: an answer up front, sentences that make sense in isolation, specific and numbered claims, and confident, hedge-free language. It is a writing-quality score, not a prediction of whether any specific AI will cite this exact passage.

AI answer engines are extracting an answer to quote, not restating the question. An opener like 'Have you ever wondered how AI ranks content?' gives the engine nothing to lift. An opener like 'AI ranks content by weighting specificity, structure and freshness' is the sentence that gets pulled straight into an answer.

Nothing, in the flow of a full page. But AI engines often quote a single sentence in isolation. 'This is the fastest way to do it' means nothing without the sentence before it. A self-contained sentence names its subject: 'The fastest way to migrate is a phased rollout' works whether or not anything came before it.

Words like might, could, perhaps, or it depends signal that even the writer isn't sure of the claim. AI engines generally favor confident, checkable statements over hedged ones when choosing what to quote as a direct answer, because a hedge is harder to state cleanly in one line.

No, and we won't claim otherwise. This scores the writing itself: structure, specificity, confidence, length. Whether an AI assistant actually surfaces and cites this passage also depends on whether the assistant finds the page at all, and what other sites say about the same topic, neither of which a passage-level score can measure.

Scoring itself runs entirely in your browser with plain pattern matching. If you check a page by URL, our server fetches that page's HTML for you. The optional AI review is the only feature that sends your passage to our server, it says so right on the button, and nothing is stored either way.

A single paragraph or a short section, roughly 40 to 350 words scores best: long enough to hold a real claim, short enough to be lifted as one quote. Pasting an entire article will average out the signal and make it harder to spot which specific sentences need work.
