BeamciteSaaS

What does your content plan actually cost?

Plug in your own numbers for freelancers, an agency or an in-house hire, then press Calculate to see the monthly cost, yearly cost, and cost per post side by side, including Beamcite's flat rate. Every input is yours to change. Runs entirely in your browser, no sign-up.

Every number above is your own editable assumption, except the The Blog Engine price of $199/mo, which is Beamcite's real published rate. The Blog Engine includes 10 human-reviewed posts a month. If you want more volume, that is custom pricing, not a per-post multiple of this rate.

01 / How it works

Step 1

Set your own numbers

Enter how many posts you want a month, then what you would actually pay per post, per retainer, or per in-house hire. These are your assumptions, not ours.

Step 2

Compare all four routes

Press Calculate to see monthly cost, yearly cost, and cost per post for freelancers, an agency, in-house, and the Beamcite Blog Engine.

Step 3

Decide with real math

Use the yearly total and cost-per-post figures, not just the sticker price, to see which route actually fits your budget and volume.

02 / FAQ

Questions, answered.

Where do the default numbers come from?+

They are editable mid-market starting points, not a claim about any specific freelancer, agency or hire. Freelance and agency pricing varies enormously by niche, word count and experience level, so change every field to match quotes you have actually received.

Why does the agency and in-house cost per post change when I add more posts?+

Because a retainer or a salary is a fixed monthly cost. Spread across more posts, the cost per post drops. Spread across fewer, it rises. Freelance cost per post stays flat because you are paying per piece, not for a block of time.

Is the Beamcite price on this page accurate?+

Yes. It reads directly from Beamcite's live pricing, so it updates automatically if the price ever changes. Every other number on the page is something you typed in.

What if I want more than 10 posts a month from Beamcite?+

The Blog Engine is built around 10 human-reviewed posts a month. Higher volume is custom pricing, it is not simply this rate multiplied up, so talk to us directly for a quote.

Does this calculator account for quality differences?+

No, it is strictly a cost comparison. A cheap freelancer and an expensive agency can both under- or over-deliver on quality. Use this to compare spend, and use your own judgment (or a trial post) to compare output.

Should I only look at monthly cost?+

Look at cost per post too. A route with a high monthly cost but a very low per-post cost at volume can beat a cheaper-looking monthly number once you actually need that much content.

Does this tool store or send my numbers anywhere?+

No. Everything recalculates in your browser when you press Calculate. Nothing is uploaded, saved or sent to a server.
