01 / How it works

Step 1

Answer eight questions

Quick, multiple-choice questions about where your buyers research, what you sell, and your current traffic and resources.

Step 2

Get a scored verdict

Your answers are tallied live in the browser into three scores. The highest score, with GEO winning ties, is your verdict.

Step 3

See the reasoning

The verdict screen explains why, and keeps plain-English definitions of SEO, AEO and GEO next to it so the terms actually stick.

02 / FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?+

SEO is ranking pages in classic search results. AEO, answer engine optimization, is structuring content so answer engines can extract a direct answer from it. GEO, generative engine optimization, is getting your brand cited and recommended inside generative AI answers like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini.

Can I need more than one of these at once?+

Almost always, yes. The quiz gives you a starting priority, not an exclusive lane. Most companies eventually invest in all three; the verdict just tells you where the next dollar or hour of content work should go first.

How is the verdict decided?+

Each answer adds points toward SEO, AEO or GEO based on signals like where your buyers research, your current traffic, whether competitors already appear in AI answers, and how fast you need results. The bucket with the most points wins, and ties break toward GEO, then AEO, then SEO, since those are the newer, faster-moving opportunities.

Why does the tiebreak favor GEO over SEO?+

Classic SEO is a known, well-served discipline with a long timeline. When your answers are genuinely a toss-up, the newer AI-answer surface is usually the more underexploited opportunity, so it gets first claim on a tie.

Does this quiz promise Google rankings?+

No. This quiz, like Beamcite, only speaks to AI answer engines and classic search as separate channels. Neither the quiz nor Beamcite promises a Google ranking outcome.

Is my answer data stored or sent anywhere?+

No. The whole quiz, scoring and verdict run in your browser. Nothing is saved or uploaded, and retaking it clears your answers.

I got GEO. What does that actually mean I should do?+

It means the highest-leverage move right now is getting cited inside AI assistant answers rather than chasing classic rankings first. That is the specific problem Beamcite solves for SaaS companies.
